Well.... by the second year of Christmas (still dating, but a little more serious to know I could at least EXPECT a Christmas gift this time), I came into my house on Christmas Eve to find this:
No, it is his little Elf helper, Brandon! Brandon and his mom slaved away at making a life-size stocking for me. It was filled with gifts and candy....that Elf sure knew what was on my Christmas list.
Here he is in *Santa's workshop,
So cute
The sneaky Elf made it into our house while we were celebrating at my Dad's house!
And now I have my very-own Christmas decoration to "hang" by the chimney every year. However, it still ::sadly:: sits in my Mom's storage because the stocking won't fit in our house. Boo hoo.
*The "Santa" reference is for any children that might be reading this. I don't want to spoil the surprise. And, you never know if your kids are reading blogs. Kids these days....

Oh my goodness! LIFE SIZE? I am really curious what he filled that thing with! very creative!!
man, that guy is so creative. love it. who wouldn't want a human-sized stocking?? i want to know if he really stuffed the whole thing, or if 75% of it was just tissue paper :)
I assure you 90% of it is ALWAYS newspaper that takes HOURS to crinkle and shove so the toe "fills" just right...those things are hard to make!
So...too bad you missed the best part of this story Erica...getting the stocking into a LOCKED house was not the easiest thing to do. Fortunately, our breaking and entering skills are fantastic...
And, oh yes...I took that last picture :)
Amen. Or Goodbye. Or um, call me?
I love that you can fit into your stocking. Secondly, I am not sure how you got so many gold stars ... But I don't give them away for just anything, so have a warm fuzzy feeling inside, knowing that you earned them, every single one ... I know I rewarded you some for the text conversation, but that could've been like 10? Maybe? Who knows. P.s. I really like you. The end. :)
How is it that every time I read this blog I learn something more fascinating about Brandon. For example, before I read this post I didn't know he had such a knack for all things needle and thread. Impressive.
How is it I forgot to end my previous question with the proper punctuation?
Wow, that is M-azing! I love it. And I'm also curious what was in it -- that's a lot of space to fill.
So fun! Don't you just love the holidays? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Thats fun
Wow that is huge and I love it!!! Too bad he didn't wrap himself and stand in it. Maybe next year...
Wow!! That's huge... I should make myself one of those... think about how many more presents Santa could fit inside of something that size. Thanks for the idea :) And again, good job Brandon!! And good luck out doing that!
That's funny! I was just in mom's storage room last week and saw this ginormous thing and remembered walking into mom's house that Christmas Eve night, seeing this stocking and wondering how the heck he got it in since all the doors were locked :) Just another one of his many talents :)
Tell Brandon that I'll give him 50 bucks to make me one of those life sized stockings so that I can give it to The Sweets in 2009 (aka Stephanie Ann Vance)
